New sales representative for Open Technology

Open Technology has recruited a new sales representative to assist customers and implement the company’s development across the UK, specifically in the South-East.

 

Open Technology Managing Director Chris Bedford welcomed Kevin Strudley to the sales team to ensure LiGO has greater market reach for projects across the UK.

 

We recently caught up with Kevin to find out what makes Open Technology’s newest team member tick.

 

What led me to a job with Open Technology…

I wanted to get involved in lighting controls after spending many years selling fluorescent and LED lighting fixtures to the professional engineering and contracting sectors for the commercial markets. I like to keep up with new technology and Chris Bedford’s LiGO system is was what did it for me.

 

 

My typical day consists of…

Visiting clients to introduce Open Technology and the LiGO lighting control system, quoting projects and maintaining our existing client base.

 

 

My most memorable work moment so far…

Was getting involved with the London Bridge Station project and assisting Chris Bedford with site visits and quotations as part of the process.

 

 

I think the best thing about my new job is…

Learning about the new technologies within the lighting controls sector, which in turn opens new doors and new project opportunities.

 

 

The most challenging aspect of my new job will be…

LiGO already has a strong reputation as a lighting control solution , so just building on that and developing greater opportunities in the South East and North East areas with new clients and existing customers with new projects.

 

 

After work…

I like to relax and watch a film when I get a chance, as home renovation and decorating takes up a lot of my time at the weekends.
