LiGO heading to major Danish transport company

3 October 2013

Open Technology’s Danish partner DAS (Dansk Automatikservice ApS) has been awarded the contract to install our LiGO lighting control system into the prestigious new headquarters for DSV in Copenhagen. DSV is a Danish transport company offering road, air, sea and logistical transport services throughout the world. Aware of the considerable environmental impact of warehousing and transporting millions of shipments every year, the company has set ambitious targets to improve energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions.

Open Technology’s LiGO lighting control system will work with a new Building Management System (BMS) to drive and monitor energy savings, helping DSV to meet their demanding carbon reduction commitment. The LiGO installation will be completed by summer 2014 and will include over 3000 DALI points.

Commercial buildings are increasingly taking advantage of the savings to be made from the adoption of low-energy, high-performance LED lighting, but often overlook the additional savings (often 30-40% extra) that controlling lighting can achieve. Doing so saves money and reduces carbon footprints whilst creating environments that are responsive to the needs of staff and customers.
