Grade A office accommodation to feature LiGO control28 January 2014
101 and 102 Park Drive will provide the only new Grade A office accommodation in Oxfordshire. Located at the Milton Park estate, the scheme consists of two three-storey office buildings together with associated two-storey car parking space, to accommodate building users.
LiGO lighting control is being introduced alongside PVs and air source heat pumps as part of an aspiration for the building to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. A single LiGO panel with 2 controllers has been installed in No. 101 and connects to over 600 luminaires. In partnership with A R Daniels, the program has progressed to No. 102 which will be completed by the end of April.
Open Technology Managing Director Chris Bedford comments:
“LiGO controls all aspects of the lighting in the building, providing presence detection and adjusting to daylight levels in order to ensure maximum savings. The system is also able to automatically test the emergency lights.”
Commercial buildings are increasingly taking advantage of the savings to be made by introducing intelligent lighting control alongside the adoption of low-energy, high-performance LED lighting. Take a look at our case study with Allianz Insurance where our LIGO control system has reduced the energy consumption of the office lighting by an additional 35% on top of the 60% energy reduction achieved through the introduction of LEDs.
