Systems are scalable, at one end many hundreds of controllers controlling thousands of luminaires on structured cable IT backbone may be the most cost effective solution with a link to a Building Management System. At the other a simple keypad with controller with half a dozen time based presets could deliver the same ‘quality’ of control in a smaller building. Open Technology believes flexibility is key, the use of buildings change and all too often over time lighting is left to cope with the worst case, meaning lights are left on whist the building is unoccupied. For this reason all Open Technology Systems are ‘addressable’ meaning that as change occurs, change is simply accommodated ensuring the ‘energy inefficiency slide’ is halted.
