LiGO on Leicester Station

July 9, 2012

LiGO at Leicester Station

East Midland Trains have chosen LiGO to control the lighting at Leicester Station. This is the first station to use LiGO and follows on the energy saving success LiGO has had at 18 stations for South West Trains.

The first phase will install LiGO panels on the 2 main platforms and control the platforms , footbridges and ticket hall. The system has the capacity to accommodate future refurbishment of the platform buildings and the stations newly refurbished Porte Cochere.

As part of the on-going support training will be provided so the maintaining contractor can see the system over the WWW without the need for any specialist software.

This is another major win for Open Technology and more evidence that customers who are looking at their energy use seriously appreciate the significant benefit LiGO brings over simple dumb lighting control.
